Netsparker and Lunarline Partner to Strengthen Web Vulnerability Scanning Management

Press Release | Netsparker and Lunarline has partnered together to allow collaboration between their own products. Lunarline Vulnerability Scan Converter, a vulnerability management software can now import web application security scan results generated with Netsparker’s own web security scanner.

22nd October 2014, London – Netsparker Ltd today announced a strategic partnership to integrate Netsparker’s own industry leading web application security scanner with Lunarline’s Sniper and Vulnerability Scan Converter (VSC) solutions. This will allow users to better manage and remediate web application vulnerabilities identified by Netsparker Web Application Security Scanner.

“Being security professionals ourselves we know how difficult it is to manage all the information when it comes to keeping all of a company’s assets secure. That is why we were willing to work on such integration since we believe that it will ease the job of many security professionals,” says Ferruh Mavituna, CEO of Netsparker. “And when you ease the job of a security professional, everyone benefits because he or she will find and remediate many more vulnerabilities.”

Both Netsparker and Lunarline customers will benefit from this strategic partnership. Netsparker’s users now have another vulnerability management solution to choose from, which they can use to import Netsparker’s web security scan results to and manage them from a central location. Lunarline VSC and Sniper users can now use a wider variety of automated tools to identify vulnerabilities in web applications, specifically Netsparker Web Application Security Scanner, which lead the 2013/2014 web vulnerability scanners comparison.

Netsparker designed its web application security scanner for ease of use and to eliminate false positives from web security scan results, simplifying the process of securing web applications for security professionals. In addition to providing easy one-click scanning capabilities, Netsparker also offers a range of powerful built-in tools that support penetration testing and advanced scanning techniques.

“Web scanning is a painstaking, tedious exercise filled with unnecessarily difficult tools and a ridiculously high false positive rate,” says Mark Haase, Lunarline’s Director of Product Development. “Netsparker is a breath of fresh air: nearly zero false positives and a user-friendly design that makes it a pleasure to use. With their focus on automating significant aspects of the scanning process, they’re a perfect fit for Lunarline’s VSC and Sniper Platforms.”

“It doesn’t hurt that they’re also a really fun group of folks to work with,” Mark added.
